So once upon a time at the age of 7, my parents stuck me on a computer at Radio Shack to learn DOS. Later I had my first Apple Computer. That was very cool to do homework on. As I grew older, I went on a "computer fast".  No MORE COMPUTERS. Hahaha - I am still saying that.  So the laptop was created, I fell in love with Quickbooks, and while in college - I found myself in the computer lab learning html. From that point forward, I was sucked into the design world.  It is of no surprise considering that most of my life has been around art, spacial relationship, and creative outlets.

I cannot stress enough how much gratitude I have to get away from those days of static html web pages. It makes everything ten times easier and faster. Through all of this fun on computers, my interest in the environment and law took me into the non-profit sector.  I have always felt that regardless of what I do in this life, it needs to be of benefit to the world. So I took my skills and honed in on serving organizations and businesses that were serving their community.

It has been 12 years now I have been in this field.  I have a propensity towards setting up systems, analyzing efficiency, and integrating it with web presence. How can an organization streamline their work and maintain organized accounts in one place? A lot of management can happen online, as well as integrated into the website, so that data is handled in one place. I, of course, like this. I watch too many people and organizations make life difficult for themselves by doubling up on their work. The question is, how can we utilize modern web technology to avoid this? The tools are out there folks. Let's make a shift.

This is primarily the reason I chose to work with Joomla! Joomla! has been amazing in its development over the years, with many extensions designed to serve various needs. My draw to it satisfies my creative eye, as well as my logical systematic thinking. It functions systematically and yet is customizable to be aesthetically appealing, flexible in growing with technology, and organizes data in a way that makes sense. So yes, I am hooked on Joomla!
